System Specification
VINASHOOT System
A basic VINASHOOT system comprises an LOMAH sensor beam SS75. It is a fixed target moving machine that is a device to connect wireless communication CO-75 and software to control the system installed on the VNS-SOFT computer.
The SS75 sensor system is below and in front of the target board. The TM75 machine is compatible with the SS75 sensor system via a signal wire. LOMAH sensor connects to the central computer in the central control room via wired connection or wireless connection. Wired signal cable system is according to industrial communication standard RS485. The wireless connection system uses radio frequency. The sensors will automatically connect to the network via the CO-75 network adapter (this network controller is located near the central control computer in the operating room The SS75 sensor system requires 12 VDC power from the outside or uses the built-in battery power, while it powers the TM75 machine from a 12 VDC battery or a 220 VAC AC power supply.
The shot results are calculated, displayed, and stored in computer software at the command center or the firing position. The software design follows the standards of the "Infantry Combat Engineering Test Curriculum." It also incorporates standard target. All devices in the system are automatically connected to the system, making the initial field setup straightforward and time-saving.
Design interface with the criteria to reflect the entire shooting session from the field layout, the list of trainees, and the shooting progress. The control center screen will display the operation and save all the data in the database. The shot results are displayed on the screen and saved in the database right after each shot.
VNS-F75 System
The VNS-F75 electronic hit scoring system is ideal for individual participation in ordinary and unusual battlefields. Customer requirements will be the key element to design the operation of VNS-F75 system. The system is compatible with over 500 shooting ranges in Vietnam and around the world for many years. This target system has the best effectiveness for military training or professional game-players.
The main core of the system comprises the sensor array Sensor arrays are arranged according to a special geometrical pattern. The projectile, bullet , when passing through the target chamber, will generate a shock wave. Theoretically, it will be detected by the sensitive detector of the sensor array. Thanks to this wave, the electronic device of the sensor array can accurately calculate the position of the projectile impact.
These data will be transmitted to the smart display unit to provide immediate and accurate feedback on performing the shooter. The impact is displayed graphically on the major computer.
The primary interface of the VNS-F75 system supports four firing ranges. Each range comes with 6 target. The system can be expanded to 8 , 16 or 32 shooting lanes depending on customer requirements. The system also uses 12 VDC or 220 VAC power. Overall, the weight of all equipment is 12 kg, divided into two blocks.
The materials and components are durable and resistant to work in tropical climates and all-terrain. For the size, the main sensor system has a dimension of 800 x 250 x 70 mm, while the target machine is 400 x 200 x 150 mm.
Finally, the computer configuration has 4GB RAM, 64GB HDD, Windows 7 OS and higher, and is packed in military suitcases.
Operation Method
When a bullet travels through the air, it will produce an ultrasonic sound – called Sonic Boom. This sound is recorded by sensors placed below the target. The central processor will calculate the parameters of bullets to determine the impact point on the target.
The VNS-F75 system is developed based on YSOUND technology for calculating the coordinate X-Y of the impact on the target. The working principle of the detailed system is simple but effective. YSOUND sensor collects information of the Sonic Boom generated during the bullet flying. This sound is not affected by environmental factors.
The CPU will calculate the score of shooting and transmit the result to the display nearby the masked man. VNS-F75 is a Shooting Score System without calibration. The scoring algorithm depends on the accurate measurement of 8 acoustic transducers.
Using a scoring system will increase throughput and make the verification of gunners efficient and very economical. A basic VINASHOOT unit includes a beam sensor unit SS75, a target machine that can Pop up/down the target, a wireless coordinator, and the VNS-SOFT software in a laptop. Users place the beam sensor unit SS75 below and in front of the target then connects the target machine to SS75. The SS75 communicates with the VNS-Soft in the laptop through the Wi-Fi / cable communication used by the coordinator CO-75. SS75 is powered by external 12 VDC or internal batteries. Also, the target machine TM75 is powered by 12 VDC or 230 VAC.
It displays the shooting results on a laptop near the gunner or control center. There are several target characters available, such as half-length and full-size soldier characters, or ten-ring standard targets, tank shapes, ...
All equipment on the battlefield automatically logs in to the system through Wi-Fi communication. It makes it easy to set up a battle and save time. The shooting results, namely the X-Y coordinates of the hit point, standard deviation, rounds of the list, and points. They are all displayed on VNS-Soft. The lane/target and target status are also displayed. The trigger result can be stored in a database or exported for printing on a printer.
With a maximum of 32 lanes, each lane containing several Lomah sensor beam -SS75 and target machine -TM75 units can be connected to VNS-Soft to display the score result. It can also print the results. VNS-Soft is an excellent tool for setting, monitoring, and controlling all targets within the shooting range.
Gun Calibration Function
The ultimate design of VNS-F75 comes with an existing VINASHOOT system. The YSMART team added this function to the VNS Software and changed some hardware in the VNS-F75. With this function, calibration at the customer"s site becomes much faster, safer, and more accurate than before.
Speed Function
With this function, mask man can approximate the bullets and other environmental features and can then adjust his next shot for better results.
How Good Is the System?
The VNS-F75 shooting training system has a wide range of applications, especially for infantry shooting train. It can be the Supersonic Velocity, Location Of Miss And Hit, and measurement of the projectile velocity. The T-Shape sensor detects all the supersonic bullets. It gives the most previous results to the computer within seconds.
Besides being used on infantry rifles, the Vietnamese military is also interested in equipping the technology with complex weapon systems. The transition will be fairly easy, as the software-sharing platform technology is highly interoperable, suitable for most weapons.
The technology proves to be interesting. But it also raises the question of the need for gun training in the future. Besides, snipers can also lose their role on the battlefield, when any soldier can hit the target from a distance.
VNS-F75 is a simulation equipment system to support the training of shooting skills for pistols, rifles, and submachines for training in the army and sports shooting athletes. It contributes to lower costs compared to using real ammunition but does not impair training efficiency.
This equipment system is researched and manufactured based on the principles of infantry target. It includes a receiver mounted on the gun head, an electronic block for signal processing, an electronic target, and installation software on the computer. The software program in Vietnamese has a friendly interface and is easy to use. They have developed this program with close coordination between the project members, the shooting instructors, and the officers in charge of tactics, considering the factors influencing the environment.
Advantages of the System
The VNS-F75 system is a technology that 10 countries in the world have possessed, applied for infantry training and testing (including armored vehicles). It offers high calculation accuracy that is equivalent to other high-end brands in the world. Under the conditions in Vietnam, Asian and Afica countries, this shooting training system is ideal for all terrains thanks to the durable materials.
The operation is straightforward, easy to control, and highly portable. Especially, YSMART offers a price of only 30% of the price from some suppliers in the world. For military secrets, some countries do not export this equipment system to other countries. So, the VNS-F75 Shooting Score System is valuable and useful for multiple purposes.
Currently, the Vietnamese army is using the tap-to-head solution that does not allow the calculation of touchpoints to support shooting training. This latest system applies training and testing essential skills of infantry troops on the real battlefield.
When using the VNS-F75, teachers can train the practitioner with basic skills in original positions such as lying, kneeling, standing, and shooting with requirements on precision, dissipation, or other shots together. To easily track and study the training process, instructors can set shooting parameters such as the size of the aiming trajectory, the time to survey the aiming process, and the color of each part of the trajectory.
When the practitioner practices aim, the computer will redraw the aiming trajectory. When squeezing the trigger, the touchpoint on the target will be recorded, and different colors represent the trajectory characterizing the oscillation of the line of sight at the moment.
Before pulling the trigger at the end of the trigger and after they finish the trigger, based on the time the trainer plans to survey. The machine also reports to the speaker and on the computer screen. All results and training processes are stored in the machine, or printed on paper to analyze the shooting characteristics of each practitioner.
Certainly, with the price only about 30% of the imported equipment, but the quality is not inferior, the system will receive many new orders in the future.
